My Egyptian Tomb Project

Once again, I know this isn't a Christmas craft, but one of my really cool assignments in school is to make an Egyptian tomb that contains a pyramid, a sarcophagus, some type of mummy, a protection spell written and placed between the mummy's two arms, two drawings that depict Egyptian mythology, at least three symbols written in heiroglyphics, and four canonic jars neatly labeled. I just thought I would show you today because so far, I'm really proud of it and I personally think it's really cool. Hope you like it!

First, I had to build a pyramid. On two sides were drawings of Egyptian gods. On the other side I wrote R.I.P in heiroglyphics. I left an opening so you could see what's inside.

This is the view of the opening.

These are the two gods.

Lastly, this is the side where I wrote R.I.P.

Next I want to show you my fancy sarcophagus and mummy. These two things were made from action figures.

Here's my sarcophagus.

This is where I inserted my mummy in.

And here's the actual mummy. I wrapped it in gauze.

I haven't made a protection scroll, alter, or buried it with it's belongings yet, but I have made canopic jars out of clay. Currently, I'm waiting for them to dry. They're supposed to be jars with animal heads. One has a human head, though. There are four.

This one is the human headed goddess.

This is the baboon headed God.

Jackal headed God. I know. It looks more like a bunny.

Lastly, this is the falcon headed God. Again, this looks nothing like a falcon.

I hoped you liked this project and please be sure to tell me on my poll what grade this would be worth if you were scoring it.

Hope you had a good Thanksgiving break. I'll see you next time. Bye!!!
